Foo Fighters were in the midst of the first full American tour in support of their new album Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace when the band won big at the 50th Grammy Awards. The tour, which featured the core Foo lineup — Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel and Chris Shiflett — as well as Pat Smear on guitar, Rami Jaffee on keyboards, and Jessie Greene on strings, hit Madison Square Garden (the Foos first show at MSG) on February 19, 2008.
